Description
The American Character Tressy doll was an 11.5-inch fashion doll with a signature “growing hair” feature, activated by a button on her midriff and a knob on her back. This 1963 doll had painted facial features, jointed neck, arms, and legs, and rooted Saran hair that could be made to grow and retract, allowing for different hairstyles. Tressy was designed to compete with Barbie and came in various versions with different hair colors and accessories.
